Starting a garden club- date changed to 6/11

June 3-9 is National Garden Week.  Several residents of Hope Valley North are starting a garden club. Interested in joining us?

What is a garden club?
A garden club is a group of people who come together to enhance their knowledge of gardening. Every garden club is different, reflecting the special interests of its members. Programs, activities and projects are encouraged to further develop those special interests.

Do I need to know how to garden?
No.  You can learn through the club. You just need an interest and a willingness to learn.

When will the club meet?
Most clubs meet monthly. Some meet in the daytime, some in the evening. We can meet in homes or other public places where facilities can be provided. The club determines the meeting place and  time.

What will the club do?
That is up to us. We can swap plants, hold workshops, have plant sales or take trips to garden centers. We can decide based on the interest of those who join.

How Can I Get Involved?
This is the starting point. We will have a meeting Monday, June 4, June 11, 2012 at 1105 Stonehedge Ave. For more information email Martha at or call Debbie at 919-210-1450.
