National Night Out- August 7th

National Night Out

                             Tuesday August 7, 2012

Join us for the first NNO celebration in Hope Valley North!

We will have FREE food, a parade, music, a bike raffle, police, fire truck, EMS, an alarm company representative as well as games and face painting for the kids!

·         5:30- Children participating in parade meet at Hendricks Ct. to decorate bikes, wagons, tricycles (supplies provided-all kids welcomed and strongly encouraged to participate!)

·         6:00- Parade starts (Start at Hendricks Ct. then ends at Winchester Ct.)-Escorted by Durham Police Car

·         6:30- Cook-Out starts-FREE Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chips, Drinks and Ice Cold Watermelon!

·         7:00- FREE Raffle for the “LANDSHARK” Bike

              Free Raffle to win this awesome Bike!

(You have to be at the event to register and in order to be eligible to win)

                   Below is a picture of a landshark bicycle generously donated by Harris Inc. to be will be raffled (free) at our event.

National Night Out is a community-police awareness-raising event in the US, held the first Tuesday of August. The event has been held annually since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada. The event is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch/Neighborhood Watch, and other anti-crime efforts.
