This is a reminder of the Tour de Fat bicycle parade and festival this Saturday, June 21, on the DPAC lawn in downtown Durham. This event is sponsored by New Belgium brewery as a fundraiser for several bicycle groups in the Triangle. The bike parade starts at 11am, and the festival runs from 12-5pm. Costumes
and bike decorations are highly encouraged. The event is FREE, but proceeds from beer and t-shirt and souvenier sales will benefit the local biking groups.
This is the fourth, and probably final, Tour de Fat in Durham. New Belgium is opening a new brewery in Asheville in 2015, and it is likely that they will move their NC stop to Asheville. So, you don't want to miss this opportunity to attend one of the most fun and creative events in Durham this summer.
